Overview

Medical Guardian provides an affordable and user-friendly medical alert system for seniors living at home. Customers can purchase a range of devices that come with important medical alert features. Depending on the device, Medical Guardian offers features such as unlimited range, a GPS locator, water-resistant equipment, and fall detection. Some of these are add-ons that do not come with every device and thus may cost extra.

Cost

Medical Guardian offers affordable equipment with a price lock and no activation fees. When paying annually, prices range from $27.45/month - $41.20/month. If you do not wish to purchase an annual plan you can also pay monthly or quarterly, though the cheapest plans are when you pay annually.

Medical Guardian offers five devices, each one serving a slightly different purpose.

The MGClassic system features a base system that requires a landline and a wearable pendant that the user can press in emergency situations. This represents the most classic offering and is perfect for seniors living at home who rarely leave the home on their own. The range of 1300 feet means that the wearer can go anywhere within the house and likely the surrounding yard if applicable.

The MGHome Cellular system is almost identical to the MGClassic except it works even without a landline. It is Medical Guardian’s most advanced home-based system. It comes with 4G technology, a 32-hour backup battery, and Voice Assist technology. The MGHome Cellular covers a range of 1,400 ft of protection and can sync with the included necklace or wristband. However, because it does require its own communication system the cost is slightly higher. Furthermore, the range is slightly lower, so anyone who does have a landline should opt for the MGClassic.

The MGMini is one of Medical Guardian's smallest medical alert device that is half the width and weight of traditional medical alerts, making it perfect if you're looking for a medical alert that is discrete and won't get in your way. It has an extended battery of up to 5 days along with location tracking using hourly GPS through 4G LTE, WiFi, and Triangulation, so you'll always be protected. If you live an active lifestyle, the MGMini is a great option for you. It also comes in 4 different colors, for you to pick your favorite.

The MGMini Lite is part of Medical Guardian’s smaller medical alert device, and it comes in the form of a bracelet. It is designed to be sleek and blend with your lifestyle. It works with a WiFi positioning system to quickly identify the location of an emergency. Battery life is good, and you will need to charge this device daily with only a 3-hour recharge period.

Finally, the MGMove is Medical Guardian’s newest addition, a smartwatch medical alert device that is the brand’s most technologically advanced way to stay safe and connected wherever you go. It is connected to a diamond-certified monitoring center that is available 24/7 and quick to respond to any emergency. It also includes weather and step-counting apps to help you set goals and track your progress.

Contract

By joining Medical Guardian, you don’t have to worry about signing any long-term contracts. This also means members don’t need to pay for setup or cancellation fees.

Medial Guardian customers benefit from a UL-listed call center and CSAA Five Diamond certified monitoring center. Their monitoring center remains open 24/7 and has the ability to dispatch police, fire, or paramedics as well as contact designated family members, friends, or neighbors.

Equipment

Medical Guardian offers a wide range of equipment to ensure personal safety. The MGClassic costs $29.95 per month and covers up to 1,300 square feet from the base station. This device has 24/7 monitoring and water-resistant buttons. In the event of a power outage, the device has a 32-hour backup battery.

Medical Guardian has updated their products to be modern, seamless, and still as effective. You can find anything from a classic necklace or pendant to a smartwatch device that will adapt to every type of lifestyle. It is best to look at all of Medical Guardian’s products to decide which will be the best fit for you.
